Meet Robert (Bob) T. Hileman, CSA
Robert (Bob) T. Hileman, CSA has more than 30 years of experience in appraisal services specializing in equipment for the Oil & Gas Field, Heavy Industrial, Transportation and Manufacturing industries. His early career in machining and manufacturing, then as former owner/operator of Hileman Drilling, has given him an extensive and unique working knowledge of these industries. Bob is currently serving in an advisory role with M&E Partners, LLC.
Appraisals have included land drilling rigs and service rigs, hydraulic fracturing, wireline, coil tubing, and nitrogen equipment, and all related support equipment and tooling. Other appraisals have been completed for water well, core and environmental/geothermal drilling units, trucking and marine equipment as well as machinery involved with various plastics, powdered metal or metal fabrication manufacturing. Bob also worked for nearly 20 years with the ‘yellow iron’ heavy industrial equipment industry and has completed hundreds of appraisals of industrial construction, mining, paving, cranes and general excavating equipment.
He successfully completed the required course work and testing in compliance with the Uniformed Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice (USPAP) and has been a Certified Senior Appraiser (CSA) with the Equipment Appraiser Association of North American (EAANA) since 2001. Bob is also currently serving on the EAANA’s appraisal review board that is responsible for reviewing members appraisals for accreditation for Senior Certification status and that they are compliant with USPAP, the Appraisal Ethics Commission and the EAANA minimum appraisal requirements. Bob is also a member of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA) and is currently completing ASA’s designation as Certified Equipment Appraiser (CEA). He has provided expert witness testimony for Federal Bankruptcy Court and Personal Property Tax Abatement proceedings, and his appraisals have been recognized by major banks, corporations and insurance companies.
Bob is also a member of the Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association (PIOGA), Pennsylvania Independent Petroleum Producers (PIPP), Pennsylvania Grade Crude Oil Coalition and Intervention & Coil Tubing Association (ICoTA).
Meet Steven J. Feldman
Steven J. Feldman has over 40 years of experience in the valuation and sale of manufacturing machinery. After earning a BA in Economics from Syracuse University, Steven went to work buying and selling used metalworking machinery for Morey Machinery Company in upstate New York. He then spent the next 22 years working in the industrial auction business rising to the title of Vice President for both Industrial Plants Corporation and Norman Levy Associates.
Steven became a licensed auctioneer in 15 states and was in on the ground floor of the formation of the Association of Machinery and Equipment Appraisers (AMEA) in 1983. Moving over to Hilco Global in 2001, he helped to create Hilco Valuation Services eventually becoming the vice president and senior managing partner of that LLC overseeing a group of 15 machinery and equipment appraisers. In 2012 he sold his partnership interest in Hilco and formed SJF Auctions LLC. He continues to be an active presence in the appraisal and sale of manufacturing machinery.
As a USPAP (Uniform Standards of Professional Appraisal Practice) compliant Certified Equipment Appraiser in AMEA, Steven completed or reviewed appraisals in a variety of industries. They include CNC Machine Tools, Stamping, Metal Fabricating and Welding, Coil Steel Processing, Foundry and Primary Metals, Metal Recycling, Automotive, Aircraft and Aerospace, Ceramic Tile Manufacturing, Plastics and Rubber Molding, Lumber and Woodworking, Food and Chemical Processing, Textiles, Electronics, Computers, Printing, Packaging, Graphic Arts, Paper Converting and Paper Production.
Steven also continues to consult with financial institutions on asset based loans and recovery as well as testifies as an expert witness in litigation.
